AIA Florida involves members in a statewide proactive, organized, unified effort to benefit architects.
About AIA Florida
For the last 96 years, the Florida Association of the American Institute of Architects (AIA Florida) has represented the interests of architects and other design professionals in Florida. Current membership is more than 3,600 architects and associates. It is a non-profit 501(c) (6) organization headed by a 10-member executive committee and a 50-person board of directors. The Association has 13 local components throughout the state and is part of the Florida/Caribbean Region, which includes components in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
As the profession responsible for the design of the built environment, AIA Florida and its members regularly use, encourage and support green building practices that are sustainable and aesthetically appealing. Many members have received Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Professional Accreditation (LEED AP), which certifies that they have a through understanding of green building practices.
The AIA designation and LEED AP certification are two identifying acronyms that let a potential client know they are working with an architect who subscribes to a code of ethics and professional conduct has the knowledge, training and experience to create eco-friendly designs.
Additionally, as participants in AIA National’s “Walk the Walk” campaign, AIA Florida is committed to helping Florida reach carbon neutrality by the year 2030.

Thanks for the personal attention.”
