Effective Actions and Collaborations for Addressing Climate Change (1.5 AICP CMs)
This panel comprised of representatives from businesses and community organizations will focus on innovative and collaborative methods to address climate change. As businesses look to not only survive but thrive in a complex economy they will need to consider how their operations, products, and services can minimize greenhouse gas emissions and create opportunities for climate mitigation. One effective method to be explored, in-depth, is collaboration with non-profit organizations and state and local governments. Businesses that develop partnerships with governments and NGOs will have more resilience in a changing climate and discover the economic potential of collaboration.
