Robin Cape
Robin Cape is an Asheville City Councilwoman with a strong focus on sustainable community development and systems thinking in local government and civic organizations. She was the sponsor of the City’s Committee on Energy and Environment, (SACEE), the City’s Municipal LEED Standards, Energy Conservation Goals, Green Building Incentives and has played a key role in the development of the Asheville Buncombe Sustainable Community Council. She is Chair of the City’s Planning and Economic Development committee, a member of the Community Energy Advisory Council and is the local leader in a multi-city coalition to address local integrated climate solutions (Applied Solutions). Robin steered the development of Reading Riding and Retrofit, a local comprehensive initiative focused on greening the public school systems in Buncombe County.
