Tom Mueller
Tom Mueller is Business Manager for Covanta Lee, Inc. in Fort Myers, Florida. Mr. Mueller has over 12 years of experience in a wide range of disciplines related to the Waste-to-Energy industry and was heavily involved in the first expansion of a Waste-to-Energy facility in the United States since 1995.
Tom joined Covanta Energy in 1997 as the Business Manager for the Lee County, Florida Resource Recovery Facility which was designed built and operated by Ogden Martin now Covanta Energy. Over the past 12 years he has strived to build community awareness of the importance of renewable energy. By working with the Lee County public school system, Edison College and Florida Gulf Coast University the facility now hosts over 90 tours every year totaling more than 2,700 visitors. Building public and media relations, client relations and the financial operation of the facility are also key elements to his career.
Mr. Mueller earned his B.S. degree in Business Management with a minor in finance from The University of Florida and has done graduate work at the University of Central Georgia.
