The Green Cities Company has a differentiated approach to the traditional concepts of “green” and “sustainable.” Our approach emphasizes a robust view of ESG, encompassing the environmental footprint of our properties, the diversity and inclusivity of their communities, and the wellbeing and fulfillment of their occupants and neighbors.

In 2020, we conducted an extensive Materiality Assessment to identify, evaluate, and define our core areas of commitment to ESG factors.

The result was the creation of our proprietary Green Cities Index, which is applied throughout our portfolio and built on five key pillars:
