Jeff Jones currently serves as the Smart Growth Director for Osceola County. He was appointed to this position in May, 2006. He is responsible for strategic planning for the County’s long range growth and advancing a smart growth vision focused on density, design, and diversity. Prior to coming to Osceola County, Mr. Jones was the Planning Director for the East Central Florida Regional Planning Program, where he was responsible for overseeing the agency’s many diverse programs and projects. These included Development of Regional Impact (DRI), local comprehensive plan reviews and technical assistance, economic development, housing, and a regional geographic information system.
Mr. Jones graduated from the College of William and Mary with a degree in Public Policy. He is certified through the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
